UFC 216: Free Prediction

Event: UFC 216

Promotion: UFC

Date: October 7th, 2017

Arena: T-Mobile

Broadcast: Fox Sports 1 and PPV

The UFC makes it return with UFC 216 which features some known veterans, up and coming talented prospects, and two world title fights. The main event will feature Tony Ferguson against Kevin Lee for the interim lightweight title. Both Ferguson and Lee have been killing it lately, and they hardly disappoint when you watch them fight. It's a big step up for Lee, we shall see if he's ready for the big time because Tony Ferguson is no joke at lightweight. In the co-main event we have Demetrious Johnson taking on Ray Borg for the flyweight title. Johnson will make history if he beats Borg because that would be eleven title defenses and would snap the previous record of ten title defenses that was held by Anderson Silva. Johnson is a huge favorite in this fight but Borg is tough and resilient, you can't bet against Johnson because he just too good and until he loses you can't pick against him. Another featured bout is Fabricio Werdum against Derrick Lewis in a heavyweight fight. Both Lewis and Werdum are looking to get back on track to hopefully get a title at the champ. This is a tough fight for Lewis because Werdum is better but you never know what can happen at heavyweight. Kalindra Faria will make her debut in the UFC at women's flyweight. Faria is a interesting prospect with good skills, she's someone to pay attention to. Evan Dunham will face Beneil Dariush in a lightweight clash that should be a banger. Also, on the card is the super hyped prospect Tom Duquesnoy and he will take on Cody Stamann, Will Brooks takes on Nik Lentz in a grudge match where Brooks will look to get back on track, fan favorite Lando Vannata will face Bobby Green in a fight that should be a absolute banger because both guys can stand and strike.

For 2017 we are 18-8 after Dong Hyun Kim was able to make quick work of Takanori Gomi. Gomi has been done for a while and has been finished in his last 5 fights. At this point in their careers Kim was just better and it showed as he was able to land and finish Gomi. Our ROI remains 36%, with a total investment of $4,659 and winning a total amount of $1,700.

Will Brooks vs Nik Lentz

Demetrious Johnson vs Ray Borg

For this card I will be doing a two man parlay of Will Brooks to win and Johnson vs Borg the fight will start round 2 prop at -183 odds (bet $183 to win $100) This fight for Brooks is to help him get back on track after a rough stretch so far in the UFC. I think Brooks is too strong and athletic for Lentz and even on the feet I think Brooks may be slightly better. The intangibles of Brooks should get the job done. The fight starts round 2 prop for Johnson and Borg is a good parlay piece because they do fight at flyweight where there is many decisions and I don't think either guy can finish early in the first round, if there's a stoppage it will happen in the later rounds because both are tough and resilient and not easy to finish.

Prediction: Brooks to win and fight starts round 2 with Johnson vs Borg parlay

Stake: 4%
